Borg vessel designation: Tactical Cube. The Tactical Cube is a modification of the standard, utilitarian Cube design. It serves the Collective with a single function - destruction. The Tactical Cube is designed specifically to engage and pacify highly resistant alien worlds the Collective views either as a target, or, alternatively, to eradicate those viewed as a threat. It carries out this function with frightening efficiency. Armed with the cutting beams and gravimetric torpedoes that have come to be associated with the Borg, the Tactical Cube is the most powerful standard ship in the Collective's service. In a departure from the exposed functionality of many Borg ships, the Tactical Cube's outer hull is protected by thick layers of dense armour. Its firepower, resilience and the Borg's innate ability to adapt to their targets' weapons and tactics make the Tactical Cube an unstoppable, irresistible and nearly invincible force to be reckoned with. The Collective assimilates only that which adds to its perfection. It destroys that which does not.
